Conclusion

Goodbye all,

Goodbye Stop

My journey has come to an end, I’m afraid. I hope you all enjoyed this blog as much as I enjoyed researching and writing it. I hope you all now have an understanding of the irony between communication and technology. While we can communicate with so many more people that we may have never even met through the sites that I introduced and sites that are pretty common like LinkedIn, there is still a disconnect between communication and “real” communication. While kids are conversing more with each other through social media and texting, the flip side reveals that they may be less interested in face-to-face communication as a result. Additionally, because of technology asking simple questions such as “What is the weather supposed to be like tomorrow?” are considered annoying by some.

While I realize this attitude towards technology is different for everyone, I feel that we can all see the irony. Additionally, there are benefits and downsides just like with anything. That is technology for you; great when it works but sort of terrible when it doesn’t.

Thanks all.
